From the underground to the stars

Discover the beauty of Istria in a specific way. Visit the beautiful istrian towns, hills and valleys. In the first part of every excursion we take you into underground and in the second part we will touch the stars. How do we plan to do it? Join us to see! The duration of the program is 6 days with 5 overnights.

Description of the program:

Day one: Arrival to Poreč and accommodation.

Day two: Excursion to the Baredine cave, one of the most known phenomen of the istrian carst. These phenomens are the result of geomorphological action of water on limestone bedrock. Visit of the cave and surrounding. Followx the visit of Višnjan and its Observatory. It is a small but world famous observatory, specially known for the discovering of numerous bodies in the solar system. Another important activity of the observatory is education of young people in different fields of science.

Day three: Visit of Pula and its most famous monument, the Amphitheatre. In the Amphitheatre, the special place of visit is the underground. It is the place where gladiators and wild animals were in prison, before the fight in the arena. Follows the visit of Rovinj, the most romantic town in Istria., called also small Venice. In Rovinj you will see the church of Saint Euphemia. Her statue is on the top of the tower of the church, protects the town and almost touch the stars.

Day four: Day off. We can organise optional activities or excursion.

Day five: Excursion to the east of Istria, to the town of Raša. It is a town museum of mining. The church in the town is in form of a grove. Follows the visit of Labin, town known for mining and for its Labin Republic. The theme of the second part of the excursion is the life of the priest Božo Milanović, one of the starring personalities of the istrian history. Visit of Kringa and Pazin, place of his birth, work and death.

Day six: Departure. Possibility of an optional excursion.

The program is organised for a minimum of 1 person (for only 1 person a supplement of 50% has to be paid). The program lasts 6 days with 5 overnights. Our program is based on an accommodation in 3* or 4* hotels in Poreč, with the service of half board or in private accommodation. The program can be changed based on special wishes of the group.
