Traditional fairs in Istria

Excursions with departure from Porec for 1 - 16 people. We take you to the traditional fair (in istrian dialecte samanj) in Istria of your choice. Our offer consists of the Pazin Fair, which is held every first Tuesday of the month, the Žminj Fair, which is held every second Wednesday of the month, and the Višnjan Fair, which is held every last Thursday of the month. The break at the fair is two hours, followed by a return to the place of departure.

The fair (in istrian dialecte samanj) in Pazin is the largest in Istria. The tradition of holding the Pazin Fair dates back to 1539, when Pazin received a permit to hold a fair (sometimes every Saturday) which offers agricultural and livestock surpluses in the area. Pazin Fair is still the largest traditional monthly fair in Istria, so that day visitors from all over Istria gather in Pazin, some to trade cheaply, others to meet again, and the third just to feel a part of the unique atmosphere and hear the heartbeat. Istria. Although the traditional products of the village have long since given way to some new and more commercial goods, still at the Pazin fair can still be found kosir and rankuni from local blacksmiths, and trout and rakes produced in the break between field work. If you don't need them - let them be a reminder of bygone times.
